This week has been participating in Structure 31 fire responses at the burn tower. Thank you to all those who came to have some fun, learn, and most importantly to work on our craft to better serve our surrounding communities.
At last Thursdays board meeting we swore in 4 new members to the L3571 and Bedford Park Fire Department family. From left to right; FF Gage Olszak, FF/PM Vincent Alaniz, FF/PM Jeremy Kolinek, and FF Garrett Focht. This marks the first time in 2 years that we are at full staff! Welcome to the family and we wish you all nothing but the very best as you begin your amazing careers.
On behalf of the members of Local 3571, we would like to send our thoughts, prayers, and condolences to the family, friends, and members of the Aurora Firefighters Local 99 on the passing of Firefighter Recruit Cristian Medrano.
This past weekend members of L3571 assisted our neighbors, the Summit FD, at a house fire! Members performed a primary search, found the seed of the fire, and helped in extinguishing. Great job by all involved.
